Some leaders inclined to end political career by resigning en-masse, warns PM Oli



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has warned that some leaders were inclined to end their political career by resigning en-masse.

Hinting at the proposed mass resignation of leaders of the party’s disgruntled faction led by senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, PM Oli in a statement said activities such as crossing floors, filing no-confidence motions and threats of mass resignations were only meant to harm the party.

He also said that history would judge those who have been carrying out such activities. He was of the view that such activities are not just and appropriate in any context.

Meanwhile, the PM has stated that the present UML is the result of the communist movement since long and has emerged as the mainstay of national politics.

He has also appealed that the duty of the present generation is to take the party ahead by strengthening and unifying it.

Saying that the party would not discriminate anyone, he has urged all and sundry to work towards strengthening and unifying the UML and communist movement.
