NEPSE decreases by 18.56 points



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd has decreased by 18.56 points on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

With today’s decline, the index has come down to 2618.56 points.

Shares of the trade group decreased by 61 points, hydropower by 34 points, hotels, and tourism by 42 points, finance by 21 points, microfinance by 97 points, life insurance group by 147 points, non-life insurance group by 31 points, manufacturing by 92 points and other groups by 28 points.

A total of 12.7 million shares of 219 companies were traded today resulting in a turnover of Rs 6.14 billion on Sunday. The most traded stock was NCC Bank worth Rs 285.6 million.

Shares of Mahila Microfinance, Bishal Bazar Company, Singati Hydro, and Union Hydro Company have shrunk by about 10 percent.

Despite the decline in the overall market, the share price of Samata Domestic Microfinance and Ruru Hydro has increased by almost 10 percent.
