No-confidence motion registered against Lumbini Chief Minister

BUTWAL: A no-confidence motion has been filed against Lumbini Chief Minister Shankar Pokharel for the second time this month.

As many as 40 lawmakers of the opposition parties have filed a no-confidence motion on Sunday against CM Pokharel.

Kul Prasad KC of the CPN Maoist Center has been nominated as the Chief Minister with the support of the Nepali Congress and Janata Samajbadi Party.

Earlier, opposition lawmakers had filed a no-confidence motion in the Parliament Secretariat on April 19.

Today’s motion has been registered citing the fact that the no-confidence motion registered on April 19 did not enter the House for discussion and voting.
