Weather likely to remain partly cloudy today

KATHMANDU: The weather will remain generally cloudy in the hilly region of the country and generally fair in the rest of the country.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has forecast brief rains amidst thunderstorms due to the westerly and local winds.

The low-pressure line extending from east to west and the effect of water vapor-laden wind flowing from the Bay of Bengal is expected to bring moderate rainfall this afternoon, the Division said.

Light rain is also expected in some places on Monday and Tuesday.
