PM Oli should be dismissed at any cost:  NC Senior leader Poudel

KATHMANDU: Senior leader of Nepali Congress (NC) Ram Chandra Poudel has said that Prime Minister KP Oli should be ousted at any cost for his being in power is a perpetual threat to democracy.

Speaking at a program organized by the Central Working Committee of the Nepal Civil Servants Union in Kathmandu on Friday, Poudel vowed that the party would leave no stone unturned to change the government led by PM Oli as the latter has been an icon of autocracy of late.

“We have to look for alternatives to this autocratic government,” he said adding, “We have to be generous with the alternatives and make sincere efforts with other political parties by making liberal agreements if they help our motifs.”

He remarked that NC missed an opportunity to dethrone PM Oli earlier adding that such mistakes should not be repeated again.

NC leader Poudel sniffed sarcasm at party President Sher Bahadur Deuba for echoing PM Oli in mentioning election as the only way out from the prevalent political impasse.
