Health Ministry recommends CCMC to close schools

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has recommended the COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC) to close schools as well as crowded places and businesses considering the risk of COVID-19 spread.

The Health Ministry has already sent the recommendation to the Center for the closure of the schools and crowded places, according to an official at the Ministry.

The Ministry has recommended the closure of educational institutions due to the recent rise of coronavirus cases in Nepal.

According to the Ministry, schools should be closed, and that classes should be taken online.

The Ministry has also urged one and all to follow health protocols strictly.

Likewise, the ministry has also recommended the closure of restaurants, theaters, party venues, and other crowded places.
