Bam Bahadur Mishra and Nilam Dhungana appointed Deputy Governors of NRB



KATHMANDU: The government has appointed Bam Bahadur Mishra and Neelam Dhungana Timsina as Deputy Governors of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB).

A cabinet meeting held at Baluwatar on Tuesday evening appointed deputy governors of the central bank.

Shrestha and Dhungana have been appointed to the vacant posts of Deputy Governor on the recommendation of the Governor.

Dhungana is the first woman to become NRB’s Deputy Governor.

Dhungana and Mishra have been appointed as the tenure of Deputy Governors Chintamani Shiwakoti and Shivaraj Shrestha completed recently.

Both the newly-appointed Deputy Governors are from Jhapa district.
