KATHMANDU: The Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) has decided to expedite talks with the main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) and Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) on government formation, parliament and its future course of action.
Likewise, the party has also decided to hold talks with the CPN-UML on issues surrounding the burning issues, including the parliamentary session, among others.
A Standing Committee meeting of the party held at the party office in Perisdanda Tuesday also decided to hold a meeting of the Central Committee on March 13 to finalize its stance whether or not to withdraw its support the Prime Minister KP Oli-led government, party Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha told reporters after the meeting.
Likewise, the Maoist Center has also decided to hold a meeting of the party cadres on March 14.
The meeting was attended by senior leaders and Standing Committee members of the Maoist Center.
This was the first meeting of the CPN (M) after the Supreme Court restored the UML and the CPN (M).
The Maoist Center has an option of either forming a government with the support of the Nepali Congress party and the Janata Samajwadi Party or supporting PM Oli.
