Department of Information card not mandatory for Covishield vaccination

KATHMANDU: Identity card issued by the Department of Information and Broadcasting has not been made compulsory to the media persons to get the Covishield vaccination.

Though the card was made compulsory for the vaccination to journalists, the process has now been made easier making it an alternative with identity cards issued by the Federation of Nepali Journalists.

The Ministry of Health and Population has managed vaccination against COVID-19 to journalists at the Civil Service Hospital for Kathmandu-based journalists. The vaccination began on Monday.

Over 300 journalists have so far got vaccinated from the hospital.
