This year’s SEE to be held at central level



KATHMANDU: The Secondary Education Examination (SEE) will be held from the central level this year.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Monday decided that effect.

An employee of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology said that the Cabinet meeting decided to conduct the examination after discussing with the Province Education Directorate.

Currently, there is no law to conduct SEE examination at the province level.

He said that the decision was taken as a separate ordinance had to be issued for that.

“As the new National Education Act has not been enacted, there is no law for conducting examinations at the province level,” he said.

According to the new structure related to school education, the 8th class examination will be conducted at the municipal level, the 10th class at the provincial level, and the 12th class at the national level.
