RPP to observe Falgun 7 as Democracy Day



KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has announced to observe Falgun 7 as Democracy Day, the day democracy was first announced in Nepal on February 18, 1951, with great zeal.

According to RPP Chairman Kamal Thapa, the party has decided to observe the historical day ‘Falgun 7’ as Democracy Day.

A meeting of the party held in Kathmandu has also decided to finalize the integration process in the remaining districts within a week and hold a virtual meeting with the district chairperson on February 13 and 14.

The meeting attended by RPP chairmen trio Kamal Thapa, Pashupati Shumsher JBR and Prakash Chandra Lohani has planned to unveil the party flag and party’s election symbol by holding rallies in all districts on February 19.

Falgun 7, the day formerly regarded as synonymous with democracy day falls on February 19 this year.
