PM Deuba extends greetings on Bibaha Panchami

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has extended best wishes to all the Nepali people at home and abroad on the occasion of Bibah Panchami festival.

Issuing a statement today, Prime Minister Deuba has expressed belief that we can get the perfect example of truth, religion, discipline, and social justice from the god Ram and goddess Sita.

Deuba, in the statemen, has further stated that Sita, the daughter of Nepal, is the symbol of pride as she embodies all the qualities of a woman she has displayed through her characters.

According to Hindu mythology, in Tretayuga, God Ram had tied the knot with Goddess Sita at Janakpurdham, the capital city of antient Mithila State today as per the Hindu culture.

Hindu people throng Janakpurdham today to mark Bibaha Panchami.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Deuba has urged one and all to celebrate the historic day by taking the health protocols into consideration in view of the COVID-19.
