PM Deuba calls meeting of ruling coalition

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the ruling coalition of five parties is scheduled to be held at Prime Minister’s official residence, Baluwatar this evening.

The meeting is being held for the first time after Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba returned home after attending the 26th Conference of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP-26) in Glasgow, United Kingdom.

According to a source at the Prime Minister’s official residence, the meeting will discuss current political issues.

It is understood that the appointment of the ambassador will also be discussed in the meeting.

The source said that the ruling coalition is likely to come up with a common view on the ongoing dispute over the court.

There is widespread criticism that the parties have not come up with a clear position on the court dispute.

The ruling coalition includes the Nepali Congress, the CPN-Maoist Center, the CPN-Unified Socialist Party, the Janata Samajwadi Party and the Janamorcha Party.
