Lumbini Province government likely to get full shape today

BUTWAL: Chief Minister of Lumbini Province Kul Prasad KC is preparing to expand the provincial government today.

The cabinet will be expanded today if the Nepali Congress party would province the names of the ministers, a source said.

According to the source, the CPN-Maoist has appointed Indrajit Tharu of Dang as the Minister of Health, Tilak Ram Sharma of Bardiya as the Minister of Internal Affairs and Law, and Bimala Khatri Oli of Dang as the Minister of State.

Discussions are underway on whether to give the remaining one portfolio to the CPN (Unified Socialist) of the Maoists.

Lumbini Province has currently has seven ministers.

The Nepali Congress is yet to appoint three ministers and two ministers of state.
