Province 1 winter session to begin today

BIRATNAGAR: The ninth and winter session of Province 1 is starting today.

The first meeting of the regular session convened by Chief Minister Bhim Acharya to take a vote of confidence will be held at 2 pm Friday.

However, the motion for a vote of confidence will not be registered today.

According to Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment Minister Laxman Tiwari, the leaders of the parliamentary parties will address the session today.

“The Speaker has already readied the agenda of today’s session,” he said adding that since this will be the first meeting of the winter session, party leaders are scheduled to address the session.

The motion for a vote of confidence will be registered on Monday, according to him.

Meanwhile, the ninth session of the provincial assembly is being held in the new building of the State Assembly.

Chief Minister Acharya had inaugurated the State Assembly building on Wednesday.
