Khapung rejects offer of state minister

KATHMANDU: CPN (Unified Socialist) has picked Birod Khatiwada, Prem Ale, Ram Kumari Jhankri and Kishan Shrestha as the ministers to participate in the government.

Even though a central secretariat meeting of the party offered  a pot of state minister to leader Bhawani Khapung, he denied the offer saying that he would not take the offer unless he gets a full minister.

According to a Unified Socialist leader, Khatiwada is becoming the Minister of Urban Development, Prem Ale will look after the Ministry of Tourism, Ram Kumar Jhankri will become the Minister for Health and Population and Kishan Shrestha will look after the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security.

If Bhawani Khapung does not take the offer, Krishna Lal Maharjan will be sent to the government in his place as a state minister.
