Manakamana Temple opened to devotees after about four months



GORKHA: The Manakamana Temple in Gorakha district has been opened to devotees after about four months.

The famous goddess shrine of the country was closed since May 6 over the risk of COVID-19.

Main priest of the temple, Insan Bahadur Thapa said the devotees would be allowed to perform puja at the temple strictly adhering to the health safety protocols determined by the government.

Similarly, another famous religious shrine of the district, the Kalika Temple situated at the Gorakha Durbar precincts has also been opened for the devotees from Wednesday.

Manakamana cable car comes into operation from today Manakamana Cable Car, which was shut down due to the risk of coronavirus infection, has been resumed from today.

The cable car service has also been brought into operation again from today with the Manakamana Temple opening for the public from today.

Deputy General Manager of Manakamana Visit Pvt Ltd, Ujjawal Sherchan, said that the cable car service has been brought into operation by strictly adopting health safety guidelines.

The company has urged the passengers to completely follow the health safety protocol.
