Non-life insurance up by 11 %



KATHMANDU: Out of 20 non-life insurance companies operating in Nepal, 19 companies have collected about Rs. 3 billion insurance premiums in the first month of the current fiscal year.

This is shown by the mid-July to mid-August report of the Insurance Committee on Non-Life Insurance Business.

Of them, non-government companies other than the national insurance company have collected Rs 2.99 billion in premiums in the first month of the current fiscal year 2021/22.

Non-life insurance companies have issued 241,837 insurance policies in the mid-July to mid-August.

Non-life insurance business increased by 10.74 percent during the review period, said Executive Director of the Insurance Committee Rajuraman Poudel.

In the same period last year, non-life insurance companies had collected premium of Rs 2.70 billion.
