KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan University, the oldest and largest university of the country, has clarified that none of the ongoing examinations conducted under it will be postponed.
According to Pushpa Raj Joshi, Controller of Examinations of the university, a meeting of the university on Sunday, decided to conduct the examination in compliance with health standards as the number of students in the examination is small.
“As the number of students in the current examination is small, we have decided to make it regular and the upcoming examinations will be an option according to the situation,” Joshi said after the meeting.
The annual examinations conducted by TU will end on August 13 and the semester system examinations will end on August 21.
As the number of coronavirus cases is increasing and class 12 exams have been postponed, students, guardians and some activists have started demanding that other exams should be stopped as well.
However, TU has stated that as most of the exams are already over, and the number of students appearing for the remaining exams is low, there is no risk in taking the exams following the health standards.
