Nepal sees 2,548 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 2,548 new cases of coronavirus while 2,029 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 2,137 were detected through RT-PCR method and 411 from antigen-method.

There had been 12,378 tests carried out in past 24 hours out of which 9,033 were RT-PCR tests and 3,345 were antigen.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, altogether 55 infected patients died of the infection in the past 24 hours. With the recent death toll, total deaths caused due to COVID-19 reached 10,093 in the country.
