KATHMANDU: The second generation leaders of ruling CPN-UML Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel and Surendra Pandey are holding talks at Hotel Summit to find the common ground to settle the rift in the party.
According to UML sources, two members of the defunct task force, formerly formed to resolve the party conflict, Poudel and Pandey are discussing about the possible common grounds to retain party unity despite each faction’s negative interpretation of the proposal put forward by the other camp.
Finance Minister Poudel represents Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli whereas leader Pandey has been very close to Madhav Kumar Nepal faction of the party.
Pandey of Nepal faction is accompanied by leader Gokarna Bista.
