Gandaki CM’s vote of confidence proposal registered

KATHMANDU: Gandaki Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung has registered a proposal to seek vote of confidence with the Provincial Assembly (PA) Secretariat.

There is a constitutional provision that requires Chief Ministers to take a vote of confidence within a month after being appointed to the post.

CM Gurung was re-appointed on May 12 as the leader of the largest party of the PA.

The Chief Minister sent a letter notifying about the vote of confidence to the PA Secretariat Tuesday, two days before the vote is slated, said PA Secretary Hariraj Pokharel.
