NEPSE increases by 53.44 points

KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd (NEPSE) has increased by 53.44 points on Tuesday, the third trading day of the week.

With today’s increment, the index has reached 2960.14 points.

The shares of all groups except hotels, microfinance, and investment have increased today. Shares of Development Bank Group increased by 398 points, Finance by 185 points, Banking Group by 20 points, Trade by 19 points, Hydropower by 58 points, Life Insurance by 669 points, Non-Life Insurance by 554 points, Manufacturing by 129 points and other groups by 45 points.

A total of 35.7 million shares of 217 companies have been traded resulting in a turnover of Rs 16.95 billion. Shares of most of the development bank and finance group companies have seen a positive circuit today.

Shares of 36 companies have increased nearly by 10 percent. Despite the overall market growth, shares of Mero Microfinance, Community Microfinance, Women’s Microfinance, and Himal Dolakha Hydro Company have declined by more than two percent.
