Fear grips locals as human body part found in Bouddha

KATHMANDU: Fear has gripped the locals after a leg of a human being was found at Bouddha-6 area in Kathmandu on Tuesday morning.

A partly burnt leg was found inside a sack with some straw inside, said police.

Police have not yet found to whom the leg belongs to and who committed this crime.

A special investigation team has been formed to investigate the case.

It is unlikely that the crime took place at this place. The body part seems to have been disposed at this place after committing the crime somewhere else, according to a preliminary investigation.

“The site, as it appears, is not suitable for crime. The body part seems to have been disposed of hereafter committing the crime somewhere else,” said SSP Ashok Singh of Metropolitan Police Range.

According to SSP Chandra Kuber Khapung of Metropolitan Crime Division, Kathmandu, the crime should have happened a few days ago and the sex of the victim has not yet to be confirmed.

“The sex can be identified and how long ago the crime took place only after the DNA test,” said SSP Khapung.
