19 lawmakers test positive for COVID-19



KATHMANDU: As many as 19 lawmakers of the Federal Parliament tested positive for coronavirus.

Out of 1,235 employees, including 205 lawmakers, tested for coronavirus, reports of 160 came positive.

Out of these, coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 19 lawmakers including one member of the National Assembly.

According to the Parliament Secretariat, 160 people, including 141 federal parliament employees, dignitaries, personal secretaries, security personnel, and parliamentary affairs journalists, have been infected with the coronavirus.

The report of one of them is yet to come. PCR tests of Parliament and staff were conducted from April 5 to April 7.
