Leader Raghuji Pant emphasizes retaining NCP unity



KATHMANDU: Standing Committee (SC) member of the Prachanda-Nepal faction of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Raghuji Pant has reiterated the need to retain the unity of the party.

Pant said that most of the leaders have emphasized the need to retain the NCP unity despite Supreme Court’s verdict of Sunday.

“The then Communist Party of Nepal (UML) and Maoist (Center) had decided to go for unification for the development and prosperity of the country,” he said adding, “The objective of the unification is not met yet. So, we stressed on the need to retain the party unity.”

According to him, even the participants of the meeting suggested that both Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Prime Minister KP Oli should work for the unity.

The meeting is underway at Peris Danda, Kathmandu.
