Duration of retrial for driving license extended to 18 months



KATHMANDU. The Department of Transportation Management (DOTM) has extended the retrial period of driving license.

The department has extended the provision of giving trials three times within three months of passing the written test to a maximum of 18 months.

In a notice issued on Sunday, the department said that the guideline of Transport Management Procedure, 2060 has been amended and the duration of trial examination has been extended by updating the Electronic Driving License and Vehicle Registration System (EDLVRS) operated by the department.

Director Dr. Loknath Bhushal, who is also the spokesperson of the Department of Transport Management, informed that the department has taken such a decision keeping in mind the convenience of the service recipients who have been waiting for the trial examination for a long time due to COVID-19.
