BIRGUNJ: Vice-President of Nepali Congress (NC), Bimalendra Nidhi has clarified that his party is ready for both options: re-establishment of the House of Representatives, and the election.

Speaking at a press conference organized by the Parsa branch of Nepal Press Union Monday, Nidhi remarked that NC is ready to assimilate both options for the protection of democracy.

“The court will decide whether the issue of dissolution of the House of Representatives is constitutional or not,” NC VP Nidhi said responding to the reporters’ query about what his party thought about the election and the political crisis now, “We are ready for any developments that might emerge after the SC verdict.”

He added that the only objective of not only NC but also all Nepali people and political parties is to get the people’s representative to work upon and the election is a way for getting the House of Representatives to come to action.

NC has been in the street protesting against Prime Minister KP Oli’s dissolution of the House on December 20.
