Nepali minor girl killed after gang-rape in Bihar



KATHMANDU: A 12-year-old Nepali child has been murdered following a gang rape in the Indian State of Bihar. The body of the child was burnt out in the middle of the night, BBC Hindi quoted the victim’s kin as saying.

According to a preliminary investigation, this incident happened with the help of the chief of local police station.

SP Nabin Chandra Jhat told BBC Hindi, “An audio tape which has gone viral on social media shows the incident took place due to negligence and inaction on the part of police official Sajiv Kumar Ranjan.”

He further said he has been suspended and an FIR will be registered against him for investigation.

The crime had taken place on January 21 and a complaint had been filed on February 2.

Out of 11 against which the complaint has been lodged, four individuals – Binaya Sah, Dipak Kumar Sah, Ramesh Sah and Debendra Kumar – have been accused of committing the gang rape.

SP Nabin Chandra Jha said two accused have been arrested and a manhunt is underway to nab the other culprits.
