NC leader Singh opens liaison office at Putalisadak



KATHMANDU: Former General Secretary of  Nepali Congress Prakash Man Singh, who is making preparations to field himself for the posts of president in the 14th General Convention of the Nepali Congress, has opened a liaison office at Putalisadak.

Leader Singh inaugurated the office by organizing a program this morning. The liaison office has been opened by hiring a party palace in front of Singha Durbar.

Singh will meet with his leaders and cadres through this office from now onwards, his secretariat has informed.

NC Central Working Committee member Rajan KC, Kathmandu Congress President Krishna Sabuj Baniya, Lalitpur President Jitendra Shrestha, Deputy Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Hari Prabha Khadgi were present in the opening ceremony.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Singh said a meeting of the Poudel faction is taking place at Chaksibari at 1 pm today to finalize a common candidate.

He has been claiming that he is a natural candidate for the post of party president.
