One dead in ambulance accident



PHUNGLING: A woman was killed in an ambulance accident in Phungling last night.

The ambulance ( Me 1 Jha 3170) owned by the Maiwakhola rural municipality in Taplejung met with the accident at Milkedanda, killing Hemkala Thopra, 26, of Maiwakhola -2, the District Police Office, Taplejung said.

Seven people were traveling in the ambulance when it was en route to Dharan, carrying a patient. Others six sustained minor injuries in the accident.
