RSP vice chair candidate Samikshya Baskota withdraws candidacy, backs Sobita Gautam



KATHMANDU: Samikshya Baskota, a candidate for the open vice chair position of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has withdrawn her candidacy.

Baskota announced her decision through social media, stating that she would support Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs and RSP leader Sobita Gautam in the race for vice chair.

She also shared a photograph with Gautam while making her announcement public.

With Baskota’s withdrawal, Sobita Gautam is expected to gain a stronger position in the contest for the vice chair post.

Baskota was previously the chairperson of Bibeksheel Sajha Party. She joined the Rastriya Swatantra Party before the House of Representatives election and has since remained active in various organizational activities within the party.
