Bagmati Province to hold meeting on Monday

CM Panday to table proposal for confidence vote



KATHMANDU: Bagmati Province is holding its Provincial Assembly meeting on Monday.

According to sources, newly elected Chief Minister Rajendra Pandey is likely to float a proposal for confidence vote in the meeting.
Chief Minister Pandey is making preparations to expand the cabinet only after taking the vote of confidence.

CPN (Unified Socialist)’s Parliamentary Party leader Panday took charge as the Chief Minister of Bagmati Province on October 28.
He is backed by Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Center) and Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP).

In the 109-Provincial Assembly of the Bagmati Pradesh, the ruling coalition has 59 provincial lawmakers.

Sources have confirmed that Chief Minister Panday has already sent a proposal to the secretariat of the Provincial Assembly.

Currently, NC, Maoist Center and Unified Socialist have one minister each in the cabinet.
