CPN-Unified Socialist agrees to lead four Ministries at center

KATHMANDU: The CPN-Unified Socialist has agreed on leading four ministries in the federal government.

The party is getting the Ministry of Health and Population, Ministry of Labor and Employment, Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation and Ministry of Urban Development.

The ruling Nepali Congress (NC) decided to give the portfolio of Ministry of Health and Population to the Unified Socialist after it expressed dissatisfaction over the distribution of portfolios earlier.

Talking to reporters after the Standing Committee meeting of the party Thursday, Chief of Publicity Department Jagannath Khatiwada said the party would get only four ministries in the coalition government.

The Unified Socialist, which had earlier claimed five ministries and one minister of state, will also get to lead governments of Province 1 and Bagmati Province and will compromised with four ministries in the federal government.
