Met office forecasts light to moderate rain until Saturday



KATHMANDU: The low-pressure monsoon trough lying in the Indian State of West Bengal and its surrounding areas is having an impact in the weather system of Nepal.

The Himalayan nation will possibly witness light to moderate rains for the next three days, said the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).

According to a weather bulletin issued by the MFD this morning, light rain is occurring in one or two places of Pradesh 1, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, currently.

Similarly, light to moderate rains will occur with thunderstorms in some places of the country, said the Division today afternoon.

The monsoon which normally subsides in Nepal from October 2 is still continuing.  Hence, the light rain will occur in various places of the country until Saturday, according to the Division.
