Nepal sees 1,677 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 1,677 new cases of coronavirus while 2,072 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 1,423 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 254 from antigen method.

Likewise, there are 364 cases in Kathmandu, 66 in Bhaktapur and 89 in Lalitpur, taking the total cases in the Valley to 519.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, altogether 21 infected patients died of the infection in the past 24 hours. With the recent death toll, total deaths caused due to COVID-19 reached 10,879 in the country.
