Nepal records 2,979 new COVID-19 cases, 28 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 543 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 2,979 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 2,077 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 902 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 390 persons in Kathmandu, 86 in Lalitpur, and 67 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the capital valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 543 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 28 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 1,333 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
