NEPSE down 16.97 points at close



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd (NEPSE) has decreased by 16.97 points on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.

With today’s decline, the index has come down to 2801.13 points.

A total of 11.66 million shares of 222 companies traded 46,183 times resulting in a turnover of 4.58 billion today.

The sub-index of Development banks and microfinance groups have index today while all other groups have shrunk.

Development Bank increased by 11 points and Microfinance by 19 points. Banking dropped by 3 points, trade by 12 points, hotels and tourism by 74 points, hydropower by 59 points, finance by 32 points, non-life insurance by 144 points, manufacturing by 133 points, others by 18 points, and life insurance group by 75 points.

The value of Century Commercial Bank Founders Group has increased the most by 3.5 percent. Similarly, the value of Prime Commercial Bank Founders Group has also increased by 3.5 percent.

The value of civil microfinance has increased by 3 percent, while that of other companies has remained below 3 percent. The price of Upper Tamakoshi has dropped the most on this day.

The value of the company has declined by 5 percent per share. The company’s price has dropped to Rs 677 per share. Similarly, the price of United Idi Mardi has also declined by 5 percent. The company’s price has dropped to Rs 457 per share. Radhi Vidyut, Shivshree Hydro, Ghalemdi Hydro, and Universal Power, Oriental Hotel, and Central Finance declined by more than 3 percent.
