Doctors opt for viscera test as postmortem fails to detect cause behind Sujita’s death

KATHMANDU: Preparations are underway to conduct viscera test on Sujita Bhandari after postmortem carried out on her body failed to detect the cause that led to her death.

Sujita’s body was brought to capital on Tuesday for postmortem.

The postmortem report has shown no bruises on her body. It has been suspected that she must have died due to poison consumption since a can of poison was recovered from the incident site.

Viscera test will show whether she consumed poison before her death.

Kin of the deceased had lodged a complaint at the police station stating that Sujita had been abducted nine days before body was found in Bramhasthani jungle in Chitwan district.
