Over 27.1 mln recover from COVID-19 in India

NEW DELHI: The COVID-19 infection cases are gradually decreasing in the southern neighbor India.

India recorded 101,232 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the caseload to 28,909,604.

Earlier, the daily infection cases had reached up to 400,000.

Currently, 1,409,648 are undergoing treatment at various isolation centers and hospitals. Meanwhile, 27,150,727 have returned home after treatment.

Similarly, the number of deaths from the coronavirus in India has crossed the 349,200-mark.

With 2,445 deaths in a single day, the number of deaths from the virus has reached 349,229, according to the latest figures collated by the Worldometers.

Broken out in Wuhan City of China in December 2019, the coronavirus has killed 3,743,188 and infected 174,034,257 globally until the filing of this news.
