COVID-19: Nepal records 339 fresh cases, tally hits 2,78,809

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 339 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the coronavirus tally reached 2,78,809 in the country as of Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 298 people were tested for positive while conducting a PCR test of 4,100 people and 41 people tested positive from antigens test performed in 1,040 people.

Out of those confirmed infected, five are from Bhaktapur, 26 from Lalitpur, and 132 from Kathmandu.

Likewise, the Ministry shared that the country has currently 2,201 active cases of the virus.

In the past 24 hours, altogether 74 have recovered from the coronavirus infection in the country.

So far, 2,73,529 people have recovered from the coronavirus infection in the country.

Similarly, the ministry shared that two new fatalities were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 3,038.
