Government begins using Chinese Covid-19 vaccines from Wednesday



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has started to use VeroCell Covid-19 vaccines donated by China from Wednesday.

According to the Ministry, the vaccines will be distributed at 14 hospitals of the Kathmandu Valley.

China has donated as many as 800,000 does of vaccines to Nepal.

Students, businessmen, among others who are going to China for studies and other purposes soon will be vaccinated.

Similarly, workers in the hospitality sector, industries, teachers, professors, and fruits and vegetable vendors will also be inoculated.

The vaccination will be given in Bir Hospital, Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital Teku, Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital at Thapathali, Civil Service Hospital at New Baneswor, National Ayurveda Research and Training Centre, Kathmandu Medical College at Sinamangal, Nepal Medical College at Attarkhel, Shahid Gangalal National Heart Centre at Bansbari, Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital at Maharajgunj, Nepal APF Hospital, Nepal Police Hospital, Om Hospital and Research Centre at Chabahil, Chhetrapati Free Clinic, and Birendra Hospital at Chhauni.
