Civil Society staging demonstration today in favor of democracy

KATHMANDU: Civil Society is staging a demonstration to warn lawmakers to take decisions in favor of democracy and the nation on the first day following the reinstatement of the House of Representatives (HoR).

The Civil Society members will gather at Maitighar Mandala at 3 pm before marching towards the federal parliament building.

Civil Society members including CK Lal, Bam Kumari Budha, Geeta Rasaili among others are expected to deliver their speeches. Similarly, Asmita Badi, Anita Majhi and Pancha Kumari Pariyar will recite poetries apart from staging a dram as part of the program.

The seventh session of the HoR is taking place at 4 pm today following its reinstatement.
