KATHMANDU: Nepse has set a new record on Sunday.
Nepse has set a new record after the Nepse index increased by 48.74 points taking to 2524 points while the sensitive index reached 459.32 with an increment of 5.3 points.
A total of 1,77,36,734 shares of 202 companies have been bought and sold in 87,670 transactions today and the transaction amount has reached Rs 10.44 billion.
The indices of Commercial Bank, Development Bank and Mutual Fund Group have declined by normal points but the indicators of other groups have increased by higher numbers.
Among them, the index of the non-life insurance group increased by 490.3 points while the indicators of hydropower, finance, life insurance, trading, hotel, manufacturing, other, and microfinance groups also increased.
The share price of Ganapati Microfinance Institution, which topped the list of the highest-earning companies today, increased by 10 percent and reached Rs 1,815 per share, while the share price of Nepal Finance, which topped the list of the highest losing companies, declined by 6.27 percent and dropped to Rs 299 per share.
Similarly, the Himalayan Distillery Company, which was ranked first in terms of cash transactions, had a turnover of Rs 531.749 million at a final price of Rs 4,814 per unit.
