PM Deuba urges everyone to celebrate festival by maintaining health protocol



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has requested all Nepali sisters and brothers to celebrate the Tihar festival by maintaining health and safety protocol.

He reminded that there is still the threat of COVID-19 and all eligible Nepalis are yet to be fully vaccinated against coronavirus.

Giving a message of best wishes on the occasion of the bhaitika, the last day of Tihar festival, today, PM Deuba said government had got significant achievement in anti-COVID vaccination with the support and cooperation of Nepali brothers and sisters.

“Government is actively working to minimize the effects of COVID-19. So, I request all to celebrate the festival being cautious,” he further stated.

PM Deuba also stated in the message that efforts were underway for the institutional implementation of the constitution for the country’s development and progress.

All sides’ role and cooperation is imperative to this end, he underscored. The festival as bhaitika helps foster unity between sisters and brothers, he said, and wished for peace, prosperity and happiness to all.
