BIRATNAGAR: Chief Minister of Pradesh 1 Rajendra Rai has said that the Pradesh 1 would be named on the basis of identity.
Talking to journalists at Tumlingtar Airport in Shankhuwasabha on Friday, Chief Minister Rai said the name of the Pradesh 1 will be chosen on the basis of identity.
The name of the Pradesh 1 would be finalized on the basis of identity through consensus, Rai said.
He further said that the proposal of selecting the name for the province would be floated in the Provincial Assembly meeting and that the issue will be finalized shortly.
Either Koshi or Kirant or Sagarmatha will be floated in the Provincial Assembly for endorsement, according to Rai.
The name of the province must be endorsed by two thirds majority as per the constitutional provision.
Chief Minister Rai Friday left for his home district Bhojpur to celebrate Tihar.
