Cabinet expansion soon: Govt Spokesperson Karki

KATHMANDU: Spokesperson for the Council of Ministers and Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Gyanendra Bahadur Karki has said that the cabinet expansion will be completed soon.

Talking to the media after the cabinet meeting Monday, Minister Karki said that the cabinet will get its full shape in some days on the consensus of the coalition partners.

Likewise, Minister Karki said that the government would amend the budget of the current fiscal year unveiled by the erstwhile government through the ordinance. Saying that he held discussions with opposition leader KP Oli on behalf of the government, Minister Karki said that the budget would be amended on the basis of consensus.

Similarly, the cabinet decided to establish BP Koirala National Award in the honor of late leader BP Koirala. The government also decided to honor 40 civil servants on the occasion of Civil service Day, which falls on Tuesday.
