CPN-Unified Socialist establishes its office at Minbhawan

KATHMANDU: The CPN-Unified Socialist will operate its office out of Minbhawan of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Ward No 31, from Asoj (mid-September to mid-October).

The newly-formed party has been carrying out its administrative works temporarily from Baneshwor at present.

A meeting of the Unified Socialist Secretariat chaired by party leader Dr. Beduram Bhusal held discussions on office management. Secretariat member and MP Jeevan Ram Shrestha said the meeting discussed the topics of operation of committees and assigning the district in-charge of the party. It decided to recommend to the Standing Committee on this at the earliest.

The province committee as well as local level committee members continue to join the party formed recently after a split from the CPN-UML. The Election Commission has given until September 7 as the deadline for the province assembly and local level elected representatives to choose any of the two parties – the UML or its breakaway party the Unified Socialist.

Meanwhile, the Samajwadi Press formed under the convenorship of senior journalist Shambhu Shrestha has prepared its statute. It is said the journalists’ organization close to the Unified Socialist will be registered within a week. RSS
