NC’s Poudel faction calls district presidents’ meeting



KATHMANDU: The Poudel faction of the Nepali Congress (NC) has convened a meeting of district presidents.

The Poudel’s group has called a meeting of its district chairpersons as the pre-scheduled date of the 14th general convention is fast-approaching.

Earlier, Poudel faction’s leaders have been holding discussions with the district presidents available in the Kathmandu Valley.

According to a district president, a meeting will be convened in Kathmandu on August 9. “The meeting will discuss ways to ensure the timely holding of the 14th General Convention of the party,” the leader said.

Another district president said the discussions are underway but the date and venue for the meeting are yet to be decided.
