Former PM Bhattarai lambasts attempts to ‘dissolve’ NAC

KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister and Chairman of Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Dr. Baburam Bhattarai expressed his indignation over the latest attempts to dissolve the national flag carrier Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC).

Responding to the NAC board of directors’ decision to ‘dissolve’ the national flag carrier, former Prime Minister Bhattarai, on his Tuesday’s Twitter, described the decision as treason.

“It is very serious and objectionable that the country’s flag carrier, the Nepal Airlines Corporation, is being secretly dissolved in the interest of private airlines,” Dr. Bhattarai said, “It is even more criminal and treasonous for PM Oli and his entourage to cover up the fact at a time both the parliament and the parliamentary committee are not functioning.”
